A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an outdated address or has made a typo. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited bulk messages, but this problem can be resolved by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also vital to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort if you’ve got a web hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet astonishingly simple to work with, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each of them you will see a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it once more will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have another one with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.
